MOYUXB calculation · fee pages sampled July 11, 2026

What reaches you from a $100 transaction?

We applied six platforms’ published seller or provider fees to one visible baseline. The result isolates platform charges; it does not estimate profit.

Direct answer

The modeled payout ranges from $80.00 to $100.00.

Under the exact scenarios below, Fiverr and standard Rover provider bookings return $80.00; Upwork returns $85.00–$100.00 because its fee is contract-specific; Etsy returns $90.05; eBay $86.00; and a direct Gumroad card sale $86.30. These are arithmetic outputs, not evidence that one platform is more profitable.

“Modeled payout” is a MOYUXB calculation from the cited fee inputs. Values are rounded to cents. The CSV preserves numeric low and high fields.

Method

  1. 1

Define one deliberately simplified baseline: a $100 gross transaction in U.S. dollars, before personal income tax and ordinary business costs.

  2. 2

Use each platform's current public help or pricing page. Record the seller-side or provider-side fee that applies to the named scenario, not the buyer's fee.

  3. 3

Calculate the payout with the formula printed in the table. For a fee range, publish a payout range instead of choosing an unsupported midpoint.

  4. 4

Exclude optional ads, refunds, currency conversion, withdrawal costs, sales tax on fees, shipping, inventory, and other costs unless the stated scenario requires them.

  5. 5

Reopen every source and recompute every row when the dataset is substantively updated. A build or styling change does not refresh the sample date.

  • Open the linked fee page and confirm the rule still matches the sampled rule.
  • Substitute 100 for gross transaction value in the printed formula.
  • Keep platform-specific exclusions outside the result.
  • Compare the result to both the table and CSV numeric fields.

Privacy note: this comparison contains public fee rules only. No seller, freelancer, buyer, client, booking, or account data was collected; anonymization is therefore not applicable.

Limitations

  • This is a fee-mechanics comparison, not a platform ranking. Fiverr services, Rover bookings, Etsy products, eBay goods, Gumroad downloads, and Upwork contracts are different businesses.
  • A $100 baseline is illustrative. Fixed fees consume a larger share of smaller transactions, while tiered or variable fees can change at other values.
  • Upwork shows the exact contract fee before a proposal or offer; its published 0%–15% range therefore produces a range here, not one typical payout.
  • Rover notes California rules and a U.S. pricing pilot. Etsy payment processing varies by bank country. eBay fees vary by category and seller program.
  • Net payout means gross transaction minus the listed platform charges only. It is not profit, take-home pay, or income after tax.
